Now that I've figured out how to embed videos, I just had to share MY SON'S rock band, called 441. These kids are ages 11 to 13 (my son, the bass player on the far left, is the oldest).
I mentioned awhile back they played in a local Battle of the Bands. They were competing against high school bands ... and they won 2nd place, to the tune of $400! This is one song from that night's performance...
One last story and I swear I'll get back to food ... a tuning peg on my son's bass broke a few days before the gig and there was no way to fix it in time. He was mortified to have to borrow HIS MOM's red bass for the final rehearsal. His band mates convinced him that the red bass was, in fact, VERY COOL! Sometimes having a rockin' mom is a good thing...

Duh, I should have said why they are called 441. They are from the same town, and 441 is the main highway that runs through the town. The only trouble with the name is that sometimes people confuse the name with 4-1-1, like for information.
I'll have to see if I can dig up more videos of them.
And I couldn't resist watching them. How cute are they?? What terrific talent... especially for such young aged kids!
